Pump Organ
November 4th, 2008

Why is the heart, the symbol for love?
How can this blood pumping organ, be associated with love?
Very clever question!
Best guess- because without the heart there is no life. If it is damaged, we live but we are wounded. If it stops temporarily, we are bewildered and scared. If it is repaired, we feel relief. If it is functioning at its fullest capacity, we feel joy and that anything is possible.
Much like love!

Foetal heart Photo Mugs Foetal heart. Heart of a 7-month-old foetus. The foetal heart develops from a single heart tube. By seven weeks of age it has divided into the four- chambered structure seen in adults, but the normal flow of blood through the heart does not begin until birth. Whilst the foetus is developing, it obtains oxygen from the placenta, an organ attached to the lining of the uterus where its blood mixes wi… |

Unplugged $4.26 Based on past form ol’ Neil should have been about ready to kiss off the sizeable audience he recaptured with Harvest Moon with an amp-shredding noisefest. Instead he aims to please here with vintage repertoire, the debut of a 1976 gem (“Stringman”), some tasty departures (the pump-organ “Like A Hurricane”) and a heart-tugging “Helpless”. The Unplugged backlash does not begin here. Jeff Bateman… |

Pump $66.91 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A pump is a device used to move fluids, such as liquids or slurries, or gases. A pump displaces a volume by physical or mechanical action. One common misconception about pumps is the thought that they create pressure. Pumps alone do not create pressure; they only displace fluid, causing a flow. Adding resistance to flow causes pressure. Pumps fall into five major groups: direct lift, displacement, velocity, buoyancy and gravity pumps. Their names describe the method for moving a fluid. Organ and Tissue Donation $114.71 Organ and tissue donation is not only lifesaving or lifeimproving, but is a part of quality endoflife decisions in the intensive care unit. The efficacy of any organ and tissue donation process lies on the efficiency of individual steps in the process and not on reporting crude statistics. An examination of these individual steps allows not only for the identification of any possible shortcomings within a process, but provides a base on which comparisons to other systems can be made. This study examines the practices around organ and tissue donation over 5 years in a department of critical care medicine. The practices were developed on expectations around quality endoflife care for patients in the intensive care unit. The results of this study demonstrate that a process whereby organ and tissue donation is viewed as a measure of quality endoflife care, and a process that is inherent to critical care, is efficient and could be adopted by other critical care groups. Further, if an efficient process exists, the ethical propriety of increasing organ supply using alternative sources can be examined.
