What do you think about the ‘Golden Melody’ harps by Hohner?

I picked up a couple of Golden Melody harps today (in keys of C and A) and they play great! I think I like these better than the Special 20. The biggest difference is that they are a smidgen larger than the Special 20, and the holes are a little narrower – with the spacing between the holes a smidgen wider than the Special 20. They sound exactly the same as the Special 20 as far as I can tell.
But the way these fit into your hands is amazing. The maneuverability I get playing these is better than the Special 20. All in all I like the Golden Melody better than the Special 20. But be willing to shell out like 50 bucks a pop for Golden Melody harps – unless you get a good musician’s discount somewhere. I got mine today for 30 bucks each – which is pricey, but a good deal considering what I could’ve paid.
Your thoughts? What is your favorite brand of harmonica to play?
I haven’t tried the Golden Melody yet, but it’s the next harp I’ll buy. What’s appealing is the shape: should be pretty comfortable to hold.
I have a Hohner Special 20, Suzuki Bluesmaster, Bushman Delta Frost, and Seydel Blues Session.
I can’t compare the Special 20 with the others because I’ve adjusted the reed offsets.
Of the other three, my favorite is the Bushman DF. It played the best out of the box (factory condition). Yeah, they get their parts from Seydel and Suzuki, but their reed adjustment is amazing. My Seydel BS is a close second, while my Suzuki Bluesmaster is a somewhat distant third.
The Seydel BS is a bit thick on the bit, meaning it’s fat. My lips have to be open bigger, so it’s a bit uncomfortable. But I eventually got used to it.
