I had blisters on my gums and lips that lasted for 5 days after blue light whitening treatment.?
The dentist said that he never heard of blisters on gums or lips after blue light whitening treatment. Now I’m afraid to use the offered whitening maintenance kit – and my teeth are staining more easily now, i.e. coffee. Never again!
Hmmm….if the person doing your procedure didn’t block your tissues well with the barrier, it’s possible some of the whitening solution got on your gums causing the blistering. If you decide to use the home kit, make sure that you don’t have any beaching solution on your gums…it will burn. You probably notice the staining more because your teeth are whiter. That is what the home kit is for though.
