help with my digital camera?

okay, i need help with my Jazz JDC9 digital camera. my computer ( windows XP) wont recignize it. it says my camera is malfunctioned?? help anyone?
my USB cable wont stay in my camera unless i hold it in.. is there something wrong?? should i get a new camera?

well, really, you could get a new usb cord. That might help, but first, I would download the disc that came with the camera onto your computer. There would be a driver on it that would make your computer recognize the device. Not all cameras are recognized without this software. If you cannot find the disc that came with the camera, then look at the manufacturers website for the driver for that camera.
