Zwar haben diese drei Stile, die etwa in die selbe Zeitspanne fallen, so viele individuelle Merkmale, dass f r jeden eine eigene Hauptseminararbeit n tig w re, aber sie verbindet auch viel mehr als nur die gleiche zeitliche ra. In der Fachliteratur wird zum Teil sogar die Diskussion gef hrt, ob der Dixieland Jazz und der Chicago Jazz berhaupt eigene Stile sind und nicht nur eine Nachahmung des New Orleans Jazz. Diese Arbeit kann diese jahrelange Streitfrage zwar nicht l sen trotzdem wird hier jeder Stil mit einem eigenen Kapitel behandelt.
