Cedar Hill, Texas $82.85 Cedar Hill is a city in Dallas and Ellis Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It lies sixteen miles from downtown Dallas and is adjoined by Joe Pool Lake and Cedar Hill State Park to its west. Early in its history, Cedar Hill served as the temporary county seat of Dallas County and lay along a branch of the Chisholm Trail. Cedar Breaks is a natural amphitheater canyon, stretching across 3 miles (4.8 km), with a depth of over 2,000 feet (610 m). The elevation of the rim of the canyon is over 10,000 feet (3,000 m) above sea level. The eroded rock of the canyon is similar to formations at Bryce Canyon National Park, but has its own distinct look. Because of its elevation, snow often makes it inaccessible to vehicles from October through May. Its canyonrim visitor center, tiny compared to the visitor centers at nearby and betterknown Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, is open only from June through October, although park headquarters at a lower elevation in Zion is open the rest of the year. It is not as popular as some of the nearby National Parks, but several hundred thousand people do visit annually. Built in 1999 by Vekoma, it is a junior roller coaster. The ride is the staple attraction apart of a new area constructed in 1999, which is Camp Snoopy. Woodstock Express is a cloned roller coaster, as the same design appears at other parks. The most well known version of this ride is Flying Unicorn, located at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. Woodstock Express has a 540degree downward helix and a 270degree downward helix. Since the ride debuted in 1999, attendance has steadily declined.This is in partially caused by the park restricting seat belts so only ride operators can release them, which causes a longer load/unload time. Unlike Flying Unicorn which has two trains, Woodstock Express only has one. Riders must be taller than 48 inches to ride or with an adult to ride Woodstock Express.
